  • The Haunted Hals tour of Virginia City’s Fourth Ward School takes attendees on a paranormal journey of the old school house that is only open to the public for purposes of the paranormal on Oct. 22. Go get spooked!

  • Mexican-born musician David Maldonado is on tour promoting his third studio album Davicas, which debuted second on the Billboard World Music Chart. Maldonado will be performing his signature flamenco sound at Moody’s on Oct. 20.

  • Walk ‘N Roll is a completely accessible festival brought to us by Canine Companions for Independence, the world's largest nonprofit provider of assistance dogs. This yea they are bringing their event to Reno (September 19) and Incline Village (October 2)

  • Two unique art tours are coming to the area this month — Art & Soul ArtWalk: September 17 and Sierra Valley Arts & Ag: October 1
     

  • Our very own Tahoe City is proud to be hosting their first TEDx event this month, on the topic of relationships and the internal and external factors that shape them.

  • Donner Pass has a historic background for downhill skateboarding that dates back to the ’70s. On Sept. 10 Red Bull is hosting their first North American downhill skateboarding race.

  • The Lake Tahoe Music Festival has been a staple for the music community of Lake Tahoe for 32 years. This year's festival features 20 talented graduate level musicians.

    On Friday, September 9, teams from several North Tahoe and Truckee area businesses will convene on the field to test their skill and teamwork in a company picnic-style event. This day of competition is called Piranga.

  • The Lake Tahoe Dance Festival, July 27 to 29 in Tahoe City, includes four performances by leading professional dancers and two workshop pieces performed by Tahoe youth dancers.

  • Guitarfish Music Festival, which takes place July 28 to 31 in Cisco Grove, works to spread the Blue is the New Green mantra. They also have some killer performances such as ALO, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, and Afrolicious.
