The Town received a letter from the Canyon Springs developer on Sept. 10, 2018 requesting to withdraw the proposed Canyon Springs Tentative Map application from consideration (Planning Application No. 10-016). This project was for a Tentative Map to subdivide and re-describe six existing vacant parcels totaling 283.76 acres into 177 for-sale market-rate single family parcels, 26 parcels for affordable housing and commonly-owned open space totaling 182.20 acres. The project was proposed at the eastern end of Truckee, adjacent to the Glenshire neighborhood area with access from Martis Peak Road and Edinburgh Drive. Upon receipt of this request, the Town is formally closing the planning application file. Any future development proposals for this land would be considered by the Town through a new application. Should a new application be submitted, the Town Planning Division will conduct additional public outreach and notification.
