Obituary: Bob the Tire Guy

Robert Edward Stone was born in Cameron, Missouri. He was the youngest of three brothers. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in business, then moved to Vacaville to help run his family tire business.

He opened his first shop in Incline Village, then moved to the Truckee area where he owned and operated Stone’s Country Tire for over 30 years.

Bob was a lover of family, friends, and community. He is survived by his wife Chris; his children Samantha, TY, and Jack; brothers Ralph and Ronnie; and nieces Kim and Kerry.

The Bob Stone Scholarship Fund has been established at Plumas Bank in Truckee to support Truckee students going to college. Info: PO Box 9778, Truckee, CA 96162
