Storage Tips

Mountain Bounty Farm recommends placing most vegetables in a plastic bag in your refrigerator (except winter squash and potatoes, which do well in a dark, cool spot). The recommendation for all greens is to wash them in very cold water and wrap them in a damp cloth before storing them.

Winter vegetable shares are collected, packed, and in part grown at Mountain Bounty Farm. They gather the remainder of the produce from a small handful of trusted Northern California organic farms capable of winter production, and with this new system, this winter share has proven to be even more generous and diverse than in previous years.

Winter share partner farms include: Full Belly Farm, Riverdog Farm, Terra Firma Farm, Pinnacle Organics, and Coke Farm.

Produce offered from December to May:

arugula // beets // broccoli // cabbage // carrots // cauliflower // collard greens // celery // chard // choi // cilantro // dry beans // escarole // fennel // head lettuce // kale // leeks // oregano // onions // parsley // pears // potatoes // radicchio // radishes // scallions // snap peas // spinach // sweet potatoes // strawberries // turnips // zucchini // winter squash

It’s never too late to join! Prorated subscriptions are available throughout the season. For more information visit, mountainbountyfarm.com/veg-winter-share.
