  • TDPUD discusses 50-year coal-fired power contract

    The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) is holding a special board meeting Nov. 29, at 7 p.m., to discuss a proposed 50-year contract with the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems for the purchase of coal-fired electric power. This meeting is a public hearing only and the board will not be voting on the contract at this meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to receive written and/or oral comments from members of the public, however the board will discuss the future date when they will vote on the contract.
    Come to the meeting at the TDPUD boardroom or watch the meeting live on Channel 6. For information, call TDPUD General Manager, Peter Holzmeister at 587-3896 or email peterholzmeister@tdpud.org.
    The Nov. 29 meeting will likely be the last chance for public spoken comment, but you can continue to submit written comments to the board at Peter Holzmeister's email above or by sending to TDPUD, Attn: Peter Holzmeister, P.O. Box 309, Truckee, CA 96160.
