The Sierra State Parks Foundation presents a fashion show as the caboose of the Golden Spike Celebration – the 150th anniversary of the Donner Summit-Truckee Transcontinental Railroad. The program will occur on September 21 at the Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center located at 12593 Donner Pass Road in Truckee, CA. Doors open at 5 pm with the program beginning at 5:30 pm. There is a suggested $5 donation to attend and the State Park parking fee is waived for the evening. Complimentary light snacks are available and wine for purchase. Seating is limited.

Cherie Oliver will share authentic vintage clothing from her personal collections and information behind the clothing. It will give viewers a glimpse to life in the late 1800s. “Cherie’s shows are so and showing to that time period and the people living their lives then. It will be interesting to see how clothes played into the railroad traveling era,” said Heidi Doyle, Executive Director of Sierra State Parks Foundation.
